Grinding ring for a flat-bottom sharpening; the flat section between the edges prevents the skate blade from sinking as deeply into the ice as with hollow grinding. This results in less friction and higher speed. One ring lasts for 320 grinding passes, which makes it possible to sharpen about 50-75 pairs of skates depending on how many passes are needed per skate (normally 2-5 depending on how dull they are). NOTE! This grinding ring fits only Sparx sharpeners ES100/ES200/ES300!
